My Safety App

This project aims to scope the potential style and content of a safety planning and communication app for children and young people experiencing family violence. The project will canvas the views of children, young people and trusted adults from non-English speaking backgrounds to develop a child-friendly, culturally safe and age appropriate tool. Project methods will include on-line surveys and face to face interviews to inform the design of a prototype for real world testing. This interdisciplinary research group has partnered with community organisations to advise the project and support recruitment.
